When you sign in as a Teacher, YeneSchool takes you straight to your personal dashboard. Everything is designed around your teaching day.
What You See
Welcome Header
The header greets you by first name and shows today's date. A Current Period badge in the top-right corner tells you which class period is active right now — no need to check the timetable.
Three KPI Cards
| Card | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Today's Classes | Number of periods you are scheduled for today |
| Attendance Pending | Periods still needing attendance submission (highlighted in amber when non-zero) |
| Exams to Grade | Student submissions waiting for marks |
Clicking any card takes you directly to the related page.
Today's Schedule
A list of every class period for today, showing subject, grade, section, room, and time. A LIVE badge pulses red on the period currently in progress. Each row has a Take Attendance button so you can jump straight to marking without going through the menu.
Quick Shortcuts
Four tiles in the sidebar give one-tap access to the most-used workspaces: Attendance, Enter Grades, Lesson Plans, and Assignments.
Announcements
School announcements addressed to teachers appear below the shortcuts, newest first.
Quick Parent Alert
Click the red Quick Parent Alert button in the header to instantly notify parents that homework or a worksheet has been assigned — without opening the Lessons page.
!TIP If you have no classes today, YeneSchool suggests using the time to review student submissions or message parents — and links you to the Full Timetable.

Use the left-hand sidebar to reach:
- Attendance — Mark and view attendance
- Enter Grades — Enter and manage student grades
- Lesson Plans — Create and manage lesson plans
- Assignments — Create and manage assignments
- Exams — Create and manage exams
- Discipline — Manage student discipline records
- Messaging — Communicate with students and parents
!NOTE The dashboard supports both the Ethiopian Calendar (EC) and the Gregorian Calendar (GC).
