Student ID Cards
Student ID Cards
YeneSchool can generate printable ID cards for students. ID cards include the student's photo, name, student code, class, and school branding.
Navigate to ID Cards
From the Registrar Dashboard, click Credentials, then select the ID Cards section, or navigate to Director → Credentials and switch to the ID Cards tab.
Step 1 — Select Students
- Use the class and section filter to narrow the student list to one group at a time (recommended for batch printing).
- Check the box next to each student you want to include, or click Select All to select the entire filtered list.
!TIP Process one class section at a time. This keeps the preview manageable and reduces print errors.
Step 2 — Choose a Template
YeneSchool supports multiple ID card templates configured by your Director or school admin:
| Template Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Standard | School logo, student photo, name, student code, class, academic year |
| Minimal | Name, student code, class only — no photo |
| Full | Includes guardian contact, blood type, and medical notes |
Select a template from the Template dropdown. A live preview appears on the right side of the page.
Step 3 — Preview the Cards
- Review the preview to confirm student names, codes, and photos are correct.
- If a student's photo is missing, their placeholder avatar is used. You can update the photo from their student profile before printing.
- Check the school name and academic year shown on the card — these are pulled from your school settings.
!WARNING ID cards use the student's uploaded profile photo. If no photo is on file, the card will print with a blank photo box. Upload photos to student profiles before generating ID cards for official use.
Step 4 — Print or Download
- Click Print to open the browser's print dialog. Select your printer and confirm page size (recommended: A4 or standard ID card stock).
- Alternatively, click Download PDF to save the cards as a PDF file for later printing.
!NOTE ID cards are printed multiple per page. Adjust your printer's paper size and scaling settings to match the card layout. Cut along the guides after printing.
