Lesson Plan Approvals & Feedback
Supervisors review and approve lesson plans to ensure teachers align daily classroom instruction with national curriculum standards and school pedagogical goals.
1. Accessing the Review Queue
- Navigate to Supervisor → Lesson Plans.
- Filter the queue by Department / Subject, Grade Level, or Status (Pending Review, Approved, Needs Revision).
- Click on a teacher's weekly plan to inspect:
- Unit & Topic: Subject area and lesson chapter.
- Learning Objectives: Measurable student learning outcomes (Bloom's Taxonomy).
- Teacher Activities & Student Tasks: Time allocation across Introduction, Direct Instruction, Guided Practice, and Independent Work.
- Assessment & Homework: Quizzes, homework questions, and rubrics.
- Attached Resources: Slide decks, worksheets, or lab manuals.
2. Taking Action on a Plan
| Action | When to Use | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Approve | Plan meets all curricular standards, clear objectives, and varied pedagogical activities. | Teacher receives approval notification; lesson is tagged as verified. |
| Request Revision | Plan lacks clear learning outcomes, missing assessment tasks, or timing is unrealistic. | Opens a feedback dialog. The plan returns to the teacher's edit queue with specific notes. |
| Add Comment | Provide pedagogical suggestions or share supplementary materials without rejecting the plan. | Adds inline notes visible on the teacher's lesson editor. |
!TIP Encourage teachers to submit lesson plans by Friday afternoon so supervisors have adequate time to review before Monday morning classes commence.
