Student Discipline & Behavior Logs

The Discipline & Behavior module enables teachers to record both disciplinary infractions and positive commendations to maintain a transparent, fair, and supportive school environment.

Logging a Behavioral Incident

1. Go to Teacher Dashboard → Discipline → Log Incident.
2. Select the Student (or multiple students if an incident involved a group).
3. Fill in the incident record:
   • Incident Type: e.g., Classroom Disruption, Unprepared for Class, Academic Dishonesty, Property Damage, Positive Commendation / Leadership
   • Severity Level: Minor (Teacher-handled), Moderate (Counselor referral), Major (Director escalation)
   • Date, Time & Location: e.g., Science Lab, Period 3
   • Detailed Description: Objective description of what occurred and immediate actions taken.
4. Check Notify Parent / Guardian if an immediate SMS or push alert should be dispatched.
5. Click Submit Record.

Reviewing Incident History

• View a student's past behavioral record before parent-teacher conferences.
• Track disciplinary resolution statuses (Pending Investigation, Parent Contacted, Detention Served, Resolved).
• School directors and counselors receive instant notifications for any Major category escalation.
