A guide to the Finance Officer dashboard in YeneSchool — key metrics, charts, and quick actions available at a glance.

Finance Dashboard Overview

The Finance dashboard is your central hub for managing all school revenue and fee activity. When you log in as a Finance Officer, the dashboard loads automatically for the active academic year.

Key Metrics

The top row of the dashboard displays four summary cards:

CardWhat It Shows
Total RevenueAll payments collected for the selected academic year / term
Collected TodayPayments recorded since midnight (school local time)
Outstanding BalanceTotal amount still owed across all enrolled students
Total DiscountsSum of all approved discount amounts applied this period

Below the summary cards, three student-count indicators show how many students are Fully Paid, Partially Paid, and Unpaid.

Revenue Chart

The Revenue Trend area chart visualises payment collection over time. Use the Daily / Weekly / Monthly toggle above the chart to change the grouping.

!TIP Switch to Monthly view at the end of each Ethiopian month to spot collection trends quickly.

Tabs — Transactions & Outstanding Balances

Two tabs sit below the chart:

  • Recent Transactions — a searchable, paginated list of every payment recorded, showing student name, receipt number, payment method, amount, and date.
  • Outstanding Balances — a list of students with unpaid or partially paid fees. Filter by status (Paid / Partial / Unpaid) or search by student name.

Quick Actions

Two buttons appear in the top-right corner of the page:

  1. Record Payment — opens the payment dialog to log a new fee payment.
  2. Add Fee Structure — opens the fee-structure creation dialog.

!NOTE All amounts on the Finance dashboard are displayed in ETB (Ethiopian Birr). The calendar uses the Ethiopian Calendar (EC) by default unless your school has switched to Gregorian.
